It is morning, birds are singing, and Stephan is yucky sick. Bless his weary heart, he had a horrible night's rest due to the nasty stuffy-ness that plagues every victim of a heinous cold. Therefore, i see that the only merciful thing to do would be to leave him in bed and allow him to 'sleep' as much as possible.
As for me, this day calls for responsibility! I am off of work, both works, and the old, lazy, unmarried me would take this opportunity to do whatever I could do to not do anything. But oh no, not responsible, soon-to-be-a-mother Colette! She has already scheduled a grooming appointment for her mother's poodle, clean the mess Stephan made by eating in his sleep last night, and is compiling a list of what else she can accomplish today. (grocery shopping being the most pressing item on her agenda.)
Speaking of mother-to-be stuff, I had a dream last night that I gave birth to a baby boy with a lot of dark brown hair. weird...
Today's hard work shall be rewarded with a cool-down period and The Biggest Loser. Boy am I hungry. I'm off to the grocery store, friends!

Brad Pit needs to shave.
We (Stephan and I) are watching a program for raising help for Haiti. As heart touching as it is, we'd rather be watching something else. Good thing we only have one channel...
Noah is doing a manly dance in my tummy. I tell you what, as much as you hear about how exciting and different and new pregnancy is, I don't think anyone could ever be completely prepared for what it really is like. It's so cool and kind of scary. It's scary because how real it is. There's a small person inside of me!
Stephan is preparing the nursery for painting. WO HOO!! We picked out some sweet blues for our walls and ceiling. Our furniture and accents are going to be a clean white. I can see it all finished and put together and it makes me so excited! Wait a second, he's painting already! I'm going to go supervise. Pray for our churches. and for Haiti, I guess.

Michael Scott I HATE YOU!!
No, I don't really hate Michael Scott. He just drives me crazy.
Welcome to the blog of Colette Michelle Du Toit. As a newbie to the blog scene and a self promoting writer, of sorts, I am eager and excited about getting to document my life experiences as often as I care to. There's a profile section around here somewhere that I get to fill out, but since I can't find it yet, I'll include some bits of info in my first post.
Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, I am American through and through. By that I mean that I have never been able to leave American soil and I really do like my country. I am a Christian. I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and of earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son, who was born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried and on the third day, He rose again. There's a lot more really cool stuff about Jesus. Feel free to ask about Him.
ANYWHO, This lowly Texas chic met and married an African. His name is Stephan Du Toit. He's pretty stinkin' hot. I like him. A lot. He and I are having a baby! Stephan Jr.'s due on the 24th of May. Please do not ask me to wait any amount of time or have him early for any reason. It's neat that your birthday might also be in May, but I sincerely cannot alter the date of my baby's birth through force of will. And his name isn't really going to be Stephan Jr. It's Noah. Noah Sias Du Toit. (Sias after his Grandfather)
More entertaining tidbits of info about me and my family will be included in future posts, but for now, Stephan has fallen asleep curled up on the love seat and I want to get him in bed before he gets achy. Please pray for the safety of churches in Tyler.
